Akané Guest Book 2006 – 2008

Here’s a video of our guest’s comments from 2006 – 2008. The video was made by first taking pictures of our guest book pages then using the pictures in a slide show making software.

Since we first opened up in the summer of 2006, we have enjoyed meeting and conversing with all our guests. One of our goals in opening up a B&B was to have the opportunity to learn new things by being in the company of people from all over the world. To all that have stayed with us, thank you for this opportunity and to those that stay with us in the future, we look forward to this opportunity.

Fall Colours in Algonquin Park/Akané B&B

A Fall Day in Algonquin Park/Akané B&B

On October 1st, I went to Algonquin Park to do some hiking and enjoy the fall colours. As it turns out, a lot of other people had the same idea. There were a lot of tour buses going along the HWY 60 corridor and many taking up a lot of space in the small parking lots at the trail entrances. I managed to do 4 trails, while trying to avoid the crowds, Western Uplands, Hardwood Lookout, Whisky Rapids and Lookout Trail  and, 1 waterfall, Ragged Falls.

The best trail for a scenic lookout and colours was Hardwood Lookout Trail. Below are some of the pictures that I took during the day. Hope you enjoy them.
